YES Grant Project Provides Glam and Grit for Foster Teens

Published: December 10, 2021

Vanderburgh County 4‑Her, Reagan Koester, alongside 4‑H Junior Leaders uses the Indiana 4‑H Foundation YES Grant Funding to bring glam to foster teens to help develop self-esteem and inner beauty.

GLAM Packs were created and designed by Reagan Koester for foster teens to receive bags of beauty products, a motivational book and bookmark. These bags were filled with products such as lip gloss, mascara, eyelash curler, hair bands, perfume and nail polish. Reagan’s project reached 67 foster teens and 29 youth were involved in this community service project. Four different Indiana counties were reached, and the impact was felt by those volunteering and those receiving the GLAM bag. This YES Grant Project was a stellar hit and brought glam to foster teens day!
