Ignite by 4-H is an annual, four-day conference where youth from all 50 states meet in Washington, D.C., to collaborate and connect through immersive, hands-on workshops and activities in key programming areas.
The YES Grants team will be studying the Community Accelerators track, which focuses on civic engagement and local impact. Youth will learn to identify specific needs in their local areas and develop actionable, community-change plans while exploring career pathways in civic action, public policy, and community service.
Upon their return, the team will utilize the knowledge and skills learned at Ignite to create a new, youth-led community service project, funded by the YES Grants program. They can also pair their experience with the National 4-H Lead to Change platform to pitch project ideas and secure grant funding.
